Nigel Tollerman – Sommelier and Wine Consultant
Nigel loves his wine. He first developed an interest whilst studying Moral and Political Philosophy at the University of St. Andrews in Fife, Scotland, with many a night studying over a glass or three of Burgundy. He then moved on to work as a Corporate Finance M&A advisor in London, occasionally escaping from the office to build up his private wine collection.
In 2002 he moved to Buenos Aires to study for his MBA in International Business, whilst also obtaining his professional wine qualifications at the Argentine School of Sommeliers. He then decided to settle permanently in Buenos Aires and founded 0800-VINO. Recently he has returned to his native UK, and is currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
He has also worked extensively as a wine consultant to individuals, investors, and trade, and has been a tasting panel member for a number of publications. His other interests include travel, cricket, classic motoring and current affairs. Try googling him.
